Online harassment, image-based sexual abuse, stalking, and shaming have become part of many people’s lives — especially for women and girls.
When someone experiences this kind of harm and decides to speak up to seek support, what we say and do next can deeply affect their sense of safety, trust, and recovery.
This 3-hour public workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to respond in trauma-sensitive ways when someone they know experiences digital violence.
You don’t need to be a counsellor, social worker, or digital expert.
If you care about creating safer spaces — online and offline — this session is for you.
🧡 This workshop contributes to the global 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence (25 Nov – 10 Dec), which calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. And this year’s theme is “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls”. Learn more about the campaign here.
This workshop is for you if you are a:
Friend, family member, or partner
Social sector professionals
Educator, coach, or mentor
Community leader, volunteer, or HR professional
Supporting a survivor in professional or personal capacity

In just 3 hours, you will gain:
Clarity & confidence in this issue: Understand the landscape of digital violence and its real-world impact on a person’s wellbeing.
Actionable skills to respond: Learn simple, powerful techniques for a trauma-sensitive response — what to say, what not to say, and how to truly listen.

(While centring the experiences of women and girls, these skills are universal and will empower you to support anyone affected by digital violence.)

What past participants are saying:
From our previous Resilience Training for human service professionals this year, participants shared how the session helped them reframe resilience, reflect more intentionally, and feel supported in their work:
“Anisha shares a lot of her own experiences, which makes the workshop more meaningful and a real learning experience.”
“The workshop helped me reframe how I think about resilience. It’s about personal journeys, systems of support, and compassion. Anisha’s facilitation was engaging and grounded in real stories and research.”
“I became more cognisant of the systemic ecosystem of resilience, and am more attuned to the possibility and reality of ordinary magic.”
“Resilience shifted from only a personal trait of grit/grin and bear it to something more holistic and encompassing - intrinsic, relational, buildable, and a constant process of unfurling and becoming.”
“That resilience is not about ‘sucking it up’ but the space in between knowing and not knowing, which can be messy.”
“Inform my language when in conversation with people in my life experiencing trauma.”
“That I don't have to feel fearful of having to say the perfect thing, but rather work on co-creating support together. And that even silence can hold space.”

About the trainer:
Anisha Joseph Anisha Joseph is the founder of Spark Social Ventures, a social enterprise promoting trauma-informed and resilience-building practices.
A registered social worker in Singapore, she has over a decade of experience in violence against women, particularly sexual violence, training professionals and communities in trauma-informed responses.
Her work also encompasses technology-facilitated sexual violence, including online harassment, image-based sexual abuse, and digital stalking, helping survivors navigate safety, trust, and recovery in both online and offline spaces.
Prior to founding Spark, Anisha was the head of the Sexual Assault Care Centre and Women’s Care Centre at AWARE, Singapore’s leading gender equality organisation. There, she led a multidisciplinary team of over 18 staff and 50+ volunteers—social workers, counsellors, lawyers, and more—offering holistic, trauma-informed care to women in need and survivors of sexual assault. She also played a key role in shaping national conversations around sexual violence support services, technology-facilitated abuse, consent, victim-blaming, and gender-based violence, while training schools, workplaces, and community groups in trauma-informed responses.
Anisha holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialisation in Criminology and Justice. Her early work in India focused on prison reform and human rights, grounding her approach in social justice, empathy, and systemic understanding.
Join her trainings to not only learn the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of trauma-informed & resilience building practices, but to reconnect with the ‘why’.
